Red wine blends are incredibly popular and Adobe Road produces critically-acclaimed examples with over 30 of its wines receiving 90+ point scores. How are blends made? How are the perfect proportions decided on? For an in-depth look at winemaking, blending and wine tasting—join CEO Kevin Buckler and Winemaker Garrett Martin as they lead an incredible, fun and in-depth/behind the scenes peak of the wine world.
You will start with a detailed Chardonnay tasting, comparing bottled wine to barrel samples that recently completed fermentation. Learn the evolution of the wine from grape to barrel and then to bottle.
And then we roll into an interactive blending session with 4 amazing California Red wines, brought in barrels from California. Let’s start with a tasting of the individual wines and then try your hand at blending, create your own unique wine and battle against other attendees to win “best red blend.” For the grand finale, Kevin and Garrett will pick the winning blends! Participants will bottle and cork their own blend and take home a bottle to enjoy. Think you’ve mastered wine? Test your senses and guess the varietals in a the special “black glass” session at the end. Do you have what it takes to be a master taster or master blender? Find out!!
